SALVATION

Take these important steps of salvation to discover a New Life in Christ Jesus, your Friend and Savior.

1. Understand that Jesus Christ came to give us the Gift of Eternal Life.

Jesus Christ tells us in the Word of God: “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (Jn. 10: 10b NKJV).

The free gift of eternal and abundant life required a supreme sacrifice. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

(Jn. 3:16).

The Father wants to have fellowship and a deep relationship with you. God has made this gift of eternal life available to us. Why do so many people lack this gift of eternal life? It is a question answered by the provoking realization pointed out below.

2. Sin has separated you from God; sin has created a gap between God and mankind.

God has provided a bridge for us, His Son Jesus Christ, so that we may have eternal life through Him. People have chosen to disobey or sin against God and His ways. These sinful actions cause a separation between you and the Lord.

The Word of God declares the result of sin is death. “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” (Prov. 14:12).

The apostle Paul tells us, “For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.” (Rom. 3: 23). The apostle Paul continues to tell us, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom. 6:23).

God has put a desire in you to know and experience Him. He has made us with a longing for Him which is “that God-shaped vacuum.”

People that seem to have all that the world has to offer: money, fame, power and prestige are trying to fill the void in their lives with things”. They even try philanthropy and religion, but are still empty. Only God, though His Son, can fill that emptiness.

3. God has provided a bridge for us, His only Son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the only way to God. Jesus Christ can reconcile us to God the Father. Mankind has sought out false religion with idolatrous practices and philosophy, but Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the dead to break the power of sin and death off of you. He made a way or bridged the gap so that we could live a victorious life and have eternal life in Heaven.

The Bible tells us, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Much more them, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” (Rom. 5: 9, 10).

God bridges the gap between us and Him. “For there is one God and one mediator between God and man, the Man Christ Jesus.” (I Tim. 2:5).

Jesus said to him, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (Jn. 14: 6).

Jesus Christ has provided only one way through His death and resurrection. He has made a bridge to free you from sin to reconcile you back to God the Father.

4. You can be reconciled back to God.

You can be reconciled back to God your Father in heaven. You can begin a new life through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. It is simple to call upon the Name of Jesus Christ to forgive you of all your sins. He will take your sins away from you as far as the east is from the west.

God’s Word says, “And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Acts 2:21).

The Word of God further tells us, “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Rom. 10, 9,10).

• Are you ready to be forgiven of your sins?
• Are you ready to turn your back and repent from your sins?
• Are you ready to ask Jesus Christ to be your personal friend, Lord and Savior?

5. Receive Jesus Christ as your friend and Savior.

Dear Jesus Christ,

I believe you died on the cross, shedding your blood for forgiveness of all my sins. I believe you were raised from the dead to break the power of sin and death off of me. I, by an act of my own will, turn from all sin to follow you with all my mind, soul, and heart.

Amen.

Your sincere prayer and receiving Jesus Christ into your life has dealt with the problem of sin. If you would die now, then you would go to heaven.

You have a promise today, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His Name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, not of the will of man, but of God.” (Jn. 1: 12, 13).
